The Windsor Cottage Story

Opening day, 9/11/2001. We stood behind our new counter, thrilled to present a unique new shop that offered beautiful, heirloom-quality consigned furniture pieces and the latest in new home décor accessories. Little did we know that morning the world would change forever. What we couldn’t have foreseen was how the events of that day would drastically alter our collective view on the importance of our homes. We all began to “nest”.

For nine years we have been very proud to represent lovely, previously enjoyed furniture from some of Rochester’s finest homes. We add the best of what we find in new home accessories from markets all over the country, and the result is an ever-changing – but always cozy – home setting where our customers come for ideas and to see what’s new.

The old saying “You can’t step into the same river twice” is certainly true at Windsor Cottage. Every week our store can look completely different!

What doesn’t change is our love of furniture of all styles, and our commitment to exceptional customer service. We offer good design and well made pieces at great prices. We appreciate that so many of the furniture pieces have a history, with stories we love to share. So often our customers say “You have to come see my house – everywhere you look, you’ll see Windsor Cottage!”
